Of Gov. Godswill Akpabio and His Generosity..

Source It is no longer news that Innocent Idibia aka Tuface and Annie Macaulay celebrated their traditional wedding last weekend neither is it news any longer that the state governor of Akwa Ibom promised the couple a car gift during the celebration. What is news however is the fact that the car gift has finally been handed over to the couple as promised by the state governor. Personally I have no issue with Tuface & Annie accepting this gift, a gift is afterall what it is..a gift and a symbol of the goodwill and loving heart of the giver.  Also bearing in mind that it was unsolicited and Tuface could very well procure any vehicle(s) of his choice without batting an eyelid, I still find it difficult to put the pieces together.

Air Nigeria Is A Flying Coffin -Former Executive Director

Heavy allegations against Jimoh Ibrahim, worth looking into. I really do hope our Aviation Minister and GEJ gets to read this and proactively swing into action to avert another disaster. John I. Nnorom, a former Executive Director for Finance at Air Nigeria, has warned Nigerians to stop flying the airline until they are sure that its planes are being properly maintained. Mr. Nnorom said that upon his resignation, he wrote a letter in which he said he preferred to die than to be a witness to over 100 souls perishing in an Air Nigeria air...

Ex-governor Ibori may be jailed today

Ex-governor Ibori may be jailed 10 years today Former Delta State Governor James Ibori, who has pleaded guilty to fraud and money laundering charges at Southwark Crown Court 12 in London, may be sentenced today (Monday). Ibori had pleaded guilty to 10 counts of fraud, money laundering and corruption put at about $250m before Justice Anthony Pitts. He faces up to 10 years in a UK prison and is coming barely a few days after his accomplice and financial advisor, Ghanaian-born Elias Preko, had been acquitted. In a short submission, Crown Prosecution Service lawyer, Sasha Wass, QC, had said the prosecution did not seek to go ahead with Ibori’s trial anymore because “Mr. Ibori has accepted the entirety of the prosecution’s case as it has always been set out.” But the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, which had expressed happiness with the confession of Ibori before the London court, had also indicated that the former governor would also be tried in Nigeria...
