September...Please Be Kind

Hi Lovelies,

September officially marks the beginning of a new school session...or so it was until Ebola reared its ugly head and resumption had to be postponed for another one month.

It also marks the beginning of the end of the year...in my mind.

It's a time to reflect...on how far we have come in the year and how good God has been to us and ours even in the midst of our many travails.

If you are reading this, then you have a whole lot to be grateful for. The gift of life alone is more than enough reason to be thankful.
Seeing a new day really presents a new opportunity to shoot at the stars....and get it right.

May all your previous struggles turn to joy and just like those beautiful sunflowers up there, may your life radiate with beauty and may every step you take be colored with success.

This new month will be kind.

    1. Thanks, sis....really been a while.
It's been quite an eventful period. The fear is real and I'm still trying to get my rhythm but we are believing Baba God to continue keeping us safe while we do our bit.

  4. God has surely been good. God will continue to watch over us and ours. He's an ever present help in times of trouble. God will keep our children safe from Ebola and every other killer virus or disease.

The remaining months of the year will usher in all our remaining blessings in Jesus name. Amen

DIY: 15mins Easy Peasy Wrap Skirt

6 years ago when hubby-to-be and I decided to take that bold leap, I went hunting for the right material to make a nice outfit for our *introduction program and soon made me a nice skirt and blouse for the 'do'. Fast forwarded to 2013, my dress size understandably changed from 6 (yes I was a sz 6) to 10 and there was no other option than to give out my much loved outfit to someone who is slimmer. Only hitch being that the scarf went into hiding at the time I gave it away only to resurface last week from its hiding place deep within the closet.

Life is a beach...really

So this year got off to a very good start for me with lots of motivation packed into my 'big' frame. Hoping and praying to sail through the same way I started...you know...crossed over to 2014 with lots of prayers for a good year, then had lots of good heavy food (really tempted to take pictures of my culinary exploits and share here...but no thanks...). Talking about food, I did something weird...a post for another day, if I ever get round to it. Then I left Hubby and the kids alternating between Disney Junior and CNN and just crashed on the bed for some well deserved rest.Oh sweet, blissful rest.
